Food Ministry  

Behind the charm and natural beauty of Connecticut's Northwest Corner, there is rural poverty and hunger.  OWL's Kitchen, a not-for-profit group located in Lakeville, operates a food panty for people who are having difficulty putting food on the table.  

Trinity Lime Rock is happy to support OWL's Kitchen in their efforts.  We support them not only at Thanksgiving time and at other major holidays, but every Sunday, collecting staples and canned goods. 

On the first Sunday of every month we offer our food collection to OWLs Kitchen.  The collection basket is next to the Baptismal font and Paschal Candle.  Remember this outreach offering while performing your shopping duties!  Consider it a prayer of thanksgiving for by each of us who has enough to eat.

When you’re planning what to bring in for our OWLs Kitchen contribution, you might want to consider that they tell us that they are ALWAYS in need of cereals such as oatmeal and Cheerios (low fat, sugar, and salt) and especially canned fruit.
