Ascension Day, 2003 at Trinity
| At Trinity we have tended to
be less than diligent in recent years in our formal observance of
Ascension Day. 2003 was different, however. This year, we
celebrated the Ascension with an ecumenical Evensong -- and a memorable Evensong it was!
This year, our own choir was joined by the Choirs of
the Millerton Presbyterian Church and the Salisbury Congregational
Church. Al Sly, Music Director of the Salisbury Congregational
Church, conducted, and our own Christine Gevert played the organ. And
we even had a trumpet player, a student at Webetuck High School! |
| Here are some photos of the
evening. We hope you enjoy them! (please click on the smaller
pictures for a larger view). |

A wonderful comment by a member of one of our visiting
congregations summed the evening up perfectly. She said "We really
should get together and do this more often. After all, we are all Christians,
aren't we!"
