Christmas Pageant 2004
at Trinity Church, Lime Rock
Our 62nd Christmas Pageant!!
Mary, this year, was a real Trinity Christmas Pageant veteran. A few
years ago, she was cast as a little angel -- and you can see her elsewhere on
this site in that role, teamed, back then, with this year's Angel Gabriel!
The Infant Jesus of last year's Pageant returned this year as an animal.
Joseph had been an animal in 2001 and a shepherd in 2002. Two shepherds
reprised their roles from last year and did it with real panache. And between the Gospeller, the Angel Narrator, and the Assistant Director, there
were more than 20 years of Trinity Christmas Pageant experience.
We welcomed a new Baby Jesus this year (as we do most
years since this is not a role it is easy to repeat). And the many
baptisms we've seen at Trinity in the past few years yielded a bumper crop of
angels (one is tempted to refer to them as a heavenly host) and plenty of animals this
year.
And, shortly before Christmas, we were delighted to
welcome two new families to the Sunday School, and to add four new players to
the cast at the dress rehearsal.
