The fifth annual visit of
October 1, 2006 marked the fifth annual visit of the Choir of Trinity Church, Wall Street, to Trinity Lime Rock. Our small parish was first blessed with their presence way back in 2002, when these talented musicians had been on a Choir retreat at the nearby Trinity Conference Center in West Cornwall. Perhaps they wondered what the material they had been rehearsing would sound like in a church, instead of a rehearsal hall, and accompanied by an organ -- since, in those days following 9/11, the organs in their home parish had been silenced, and the group had been singing entirely a capella since the tragedy.
Of course we were delighted to welcome them to "Little Trinity" way back then, and we have been equally delighted to welcome this wonderful group back in the succeeding years. Here are a few pictures from the Offertory they sang for us in 2006. Although the faces in a professional group like Trinity's choir understandably change over the years, we at Trinity Lime Rock always enjoy meeting old friends from prior visits and making new friends we will look forward to seeing in future years. Here's a video of the Trinity Wall Street choir, singing in their own house --ENJOY!!
When the Trinity Wall Street Choir visits, everyone relaxes together during the coffee hour that follows the service at which they sing. Here are a few pictures from the 2006 coffee hour: All of us a Trinity Lime Rock look forward eagerly to future visits of the Trinity Wall Street Choir! |
