Emergency Services Sunday at Trinity Lime
Rock
| Emergency Services Sunday at Trinity Lime Rock for 2008 will
be held on September 14. Mark your calendar now! |
At the suggestion of parishioner Jane
Canfield, in 2007 the parish determined to dedicate a Sunday to honoring the
volunteers in our communities who respond first in the face of danger or
disaster. All local first responders were invited, and we were delighted
to welcome the Falls Village fire company and ambulance service, the Lime Rock
Park ambulance, Cornwall's ambulance service, Northern Dutchess Paramedics,
Lakeville Hose Company, and Salisbury Volunteer Ambulance Service, as well as
Region V of Emergency Medical Services.
Following the 10:30 AM Holy Eucharist, the
congregation processed to Trinity Field, where Fr. Clements blessed the
equipment gathered for the day as well as the volunteers.
We then moved back into Walker Hall for a
wonderful smorgasbord, much of which the volunteers brought along with them.
Here are some pictures from that wonderful
day:
