Christmas Pageant 2009 represented the 67th consecutive year that Trinity's young people have presented a
Christmas Pageant, ever since Fr. Mulligan, the Priest in Charge of our
then-tiny parish back in the dark, early years of World War II, decided that a Christmas Pageant would be a tonic for us.
He was certainly correct!
This year we tried something new: we took advantage of
Pastor Heidi's
experience directing a script that was new to us. It provided four
depictions of God's love in scenes from both Old and New Testaments, culminating
in the familiar nativity scene.
The only really big standalone rehearsal happened, and the cast caught on
very quickly -- especially since this was a new approach to Christmas Pageants
for us.
