We were delighted to welcome back to Trinity for the eighth straight year the
incredible Choir of Trinity Church Wall Street, under the direction of
music associate Richard Lippold. Every
year they bring us their wonderful music, and increasingly we are getting to
know each of them as individuals. They are absolutely inspiring.
This year, in addition to the greatly strengthened hymns and service music
they always bring, they presented John Goss' setting of Psalm 54 -- a superb
Anglican chant. At the offertory, they brought us Michael Tippitt's
setting of "Go Down, Moses". Finally, for a communion anthem, they
presented William Byrd's "Justorum animae" -- the latter presented a capella
from the rear of the church.

(Note that raising a hand in the air is supposed to distract
airborne insects -- not that we have any of them at Trinity Lime
Rock!) |

Would have been the official photo,
except that the Trinity Wall Street chorister who is also their
photographer missed the pic. This frequently happens to
photographers. |
