While we don't
customarily take coffee hour "on the road", Jacqueline's kind
invitation, combined with the generosity of Sue Kozlowski's
hospitality team and
Christine Gevert, who brought
her keyboard and led the singing, provided a lovely celebration of
the 4th of July at Trinity. |

Young People's Sunday, April 25
There's an educational element in our Young People's Sundays. Today's
introduced our young people to something many had never experienced, but which,
for many years, was a mainstay of Episcopal Church worship: Morning Prayer, with
Holy Eucharist.

beforehand |

from the Paschal Candle, which was lit from the New Fire. |
We then processed into the church by candlelight, led by the Paschal
Candle. The service, which began with a chanted Exsultet,
proceeded with Old Testament readings, interspersed with Taize Songs,
and, following the Apostle's Creed, EASTER began! |

On March 14, we celebrated "Mothering Sunday" with flowers on the altar in
the midst of Lent, with a Simnel Cake, and with a labyrinth in Walker Hall to
walk.

Tom Schindler experiments with the labyrinth

Sabrina took her first turn as Acolyte |

Here, Linda Lloyd provides Sabrina with some

during their class time, so they had time to enjoy birthday cake during

Friday evening, January 8, the Rt. Rev. Laura Ahrens, Suffragan Bishop of
Connecticut, formally installed the Rev. Heidi Truax as Priest-in-Charge of
Trinity, making her the Second Vicar of Trinity Lime Rock. Here are a few
photos of the preparations for the Celebration of New Ministry and the reception
that followed it (and don't miss the link at the bottom of this section to

Part of an Celebration of New Ministry
is the exchange of gifts between the Priest and the Parish.

Many thanks to Phillip Truax!! |
We started January with a near-blizzard on Jan 3 -- but we still had good
attendance, a new processional Crucifer, and a guest musician! (If you
missed the service due to the weather, you can still
read Pastor Heidi's sermon HERE.)
