We are happy to bring you Pastor Heidi’s sermon for Sunday, July 5, 2020, the the Fifth Sunday after Pentecost. Please click below to read it:

Sermon for July 5, 2020

The service begins at 10:25 AM, when the link (below) to the video will go live. Only after that time does it become a valid url.

At 10:25 AM, with a couple of seconds of silence, the prelude begins. This week it is “Venite exultemus Domino” by William Byrd (ca.1540-1623)
sung by the Trinity Choir and the Crescendo Vocal Ensemble. We are fortunate to have as part of our musical cast baritone Jermaine Woodard Jr.!

Thank you as always to the musicians who participated by remotely recording!

Here is the link to the video

If you would like to view the service, including all the music, afterward, the link will remain live indefinitely.

Rota July 2020

Trinity continues to worship online. While we will experiment with an early service outdoors during July, the worship assignments for that service will be determined as worshipers arrive. Please consult our newsletter, the Trinity Times, for more information on those services. The main Sunday service will continue to be online, beginning at 10:30 AM.

Here is the rota to cover the month of July  — and many thanks to the parishioners who are making this transition into the age of  virtual worship!  Further rotas will be published later in July.

July 21 Photos at Trinity Lime Rock

We’re calling these July 21 photos at Trinity Lime Rock although two of them were not taken at Trinity at all and were taken earlier that week!

Pastor Heidi was just back from a week as Chaplain to the wilderness camping group at the Diocesan Camp Washington, so we’re providing a bit of flavor of what that experience was like.

Sunday was also the Youth Sunday for July as well as being the hottest Sunday so far this summer. Hence the casual attire on most participants shown.

One moment that touched all of us. A lady who was not a parishioner, but who brought her much loved dog to us to be blessed when we had our annual Blessing of the Animals, sadly lost him this week. She brought us the blue and white pitcher of flowers from her garden to remember him — and we do!

Photos from July 14 at Trinity Lime Rock

Here are a few photos from Sunday, July 14, at Trinity Lime Rock.

We held Morning Prayer on Sunday since Pastor Heidi was at Diocesan Camp Washington serving as Chaplain to the wilderness campers. No priest? Normally we would call on supply clergy for the day.

However, we have a resource at Trinity that we were able to use instead. The Northwest Cluster of our Diocese held a training program for lay preachers this past year, and several from Trinity participated. Morning Prayer provides a wonderful for these trained homilists to “do their thing.” This week, our own Alexis Dorf was the Lay Officiant, and Danielle Gaherty was our Homilist.

It all worked perfectly!

What happened to Summer Sports? Well, fair question! We started with bocce, but the interest level just wasn’t there. So, the young people came into church for the last part of Morning Prayer, and then, during coffee hour, decided to try out their artistic skills in the courtyard!

Photos from July 7

Quite a few photos from Sunday, July 7, at Trinity Lime Rock!

It was a hot day — too hot to leave dogs in cars (so they joined us in church). It was perfect for blowing HUGE bubbles in Summer Sports — except that a summer cold decimated the young people population for the day so we had only one enthusiastic participant. Thanks to Susanna and Tom Schindler! Susanna demonstrated the bubble process enthusiastically. Tom, the family scientist, developed the bubble formula that produces these incredible results.
