From the
historian....
In the Connecticut Highlands: Lime Rock
Trinity Church has a fascinating history for a church not yet 140 years old, but
Trinity is something of a newcomer to a far older community. Periodically,
the Parish Historian features historical material about the parish and its
locale that may not be familiar to many visitors to this site -- or to many
parishioners.
This article, probably from the Connecticut Magazine, formerly the
Connecticut Quarterly, is provisionally dated 1905. Interestingly, its
author is the 4th Rector of Trinity Church, the Rev. R. H. Gesner, whose tenure
at Trinity ran from 1899 to 1906, when he was called to Christ Church in Oswego,
NY.
