"Gratitude Cultivator" by Karl Saliter, now at Trinity

Thanks to the generosity of several parishioners, Trinity added Karl Saliter's "Gratitude Cultivator" to our permanent collection in 2006.  The work had been shown at the Invitational Art Show that year and attracted the favorable attention of many visitors to the show.  It now graces the entry to Walker Hall, setting off our 2004 addition to the structure.  To see a larger view of Gratitude Cultivator, click on the image below.

Item of historical interest:

The Lime Rock Art Association thrived in our own valley, staging nine acclaimed annual exhibits from 1927 through 1935, just a few doors away from Trinity Church. Their work preserves the landscape in its post-industrial, agricultural era. Lime Rock was also the site of a paper mill, where much sought after artists' papers were produced before the Depression.

Our own Mary Ann Carley had not one but TWO of her paintings hanging in the ECVA collection at the 2006 General Convention of The Episcopal Church.
