Emergency Services Sunday
At the suggestion of parishioner Jane
Canfield, in 2007 the parish determined to dedicate a Sunday to honoring the
volunteers in our communities who respond first in the face of danger or
disaster. We think that honoring and thanking these people -- and the
group includes a number of our own parishioners -- is the very least that we can
do in view of the sacrifice they all make.
We held our second annual Emergency Services
Sunday in 2008, and our
plans are to continue to celebrate it annually. We invite you to come and
join us in thanking our volunteers. Our
third Emergency Services Sunday
was
originally scheduled for Sunday, September 27, 2009, but was postponed until May
16, 2010 due to a
changing of the guard in Trinity clergy. Needless to say, you can see
pictures from the most recent Emergency Services Sunday
here!!
Trinity also appreciates the open rehearsal that
Crescendo held
for our First Responders in November 2009. We are proud and happy that
Crescendo, founded and resident at Trinity, helped express the appreciation our
whole community feels for these selfless people.
