Parents:  Bring your children to church with you?

DEFINITELY!

A few suggestions ...

RELAX -- kids are TRULY WELCOME at Trinity!!

Sit near the front -- it's easier for the kids to hear and see
Help them follow along in the Prayer Book and Hymnal if they show an interest. Sing the hymns!  Kids learn by watching their parents.
Child need to leave the service?

Do so, but please come back!

---

There are RESTROOMS in two places in our building:  on the corridor between the sanctuary and Walker Hall, and at the extreme north end of the building, the end next to Trinity Field.  Changing tables are in the restrooms if needed.

---

There are toys and games available in our Nursery -- at the end of the building nearest Trinity Field -- in the event that your young person doesn't seem to be up for returning to the service.  But be sure to join us for Coffee Hour afterwards!

There are special age-appropriate reading materials and bulletins that include crafts for young people.

If your child didn't receive special material when they came in, just ask an usher!

There is also a small (but growing) collection of books for kids, located in the back of the church.  Parents are invited to select a book with the child and look at it during the service.  Some of the books include:

--What We Do in Church: an Anglican Child's Activity Book

--Water Come Down: The Day You Were Baptised

--A Walk Through our Church

--The Table Where Rich People Sit

--Everybody Needs a Rock

Restless baby?  There's a rocking chair for you in the back of the Church.

Always be sure your kids understand that they are at home here!

Kids want to be with other kids?   Most do!

Most Sundays throughout the year we have activities just for young people.  These include our Sunday School and our Summer Sports program.  Be sure to let your young person know that they are welcome at these activities, even if they are only in the area for the weekend or the day!

Nothing special for kids scheduled this Sunday?  Don't despair!  Each Sunday after the 10:30 Holy Eucharist we have a parish-wide hospitality hour, with good things to eat for young and old.  Kids tend to gravitate together at hospitality hour, and they really enjoy this time!

Want more information about our programs for young people at Trinity, including questions and answers?

You may also want to check our Parents page -- lots more information there about our programs for young people from a parent's perspective.

And remember that your children are also welcome to participate in our many activities for young people  --  even if you are only here for the day!
