Trinity's Men's Group has existed as an entity for only a few
years
Open to all men of the Parish, the Men's Group usually gathers at Trinity at 5:30 PM on
one of the weeknights -- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday on a more or less
monthly basis. Recently we've also begun
welcoming women at our monthly dinner meetings.
Often before we go to dinner, we undertake a small task to help maintain or improve the structure or
grounds. Tasks we've undertaken recently have included:
-
Maintaining the parish computers
-
Removing debris
-
Converting to energy-saving
light bulbs
-
Washing windows in Walker Hall
-
Making repairs to parish
furnishings
-
Helping an older parishioner move
to a new home
-
Removing decades of accumulated junk from the
Undercroft (with our friends at Trinity Glen)
-
Planning larger and more
extensive tasks
Following our work, we adjourn to a local restaurant for fellowship and
dinner. We generally invite the men (and women) of other nearby houses of
worship to join us at these dinners.
We also participate in other service functions in the parish, including
assisting with setup for the annual Art Show,
helping at the parish work day in the
spring, and handling the grilling at the Trinity Sunday picnic and the various
cookouts during the summer.
