What to expect at Trinity....

Stepping into an unfamiliar church for the first time can can make anybody a little bit uncomfortable.  Perhaps we can help you through this.

First off, at Trinity, you can expect to feel welcomed and accepted from the moment you arrive.  This applies whether you're attending an activity here, participating in a project we're doing for the community, or coming to one of our worship services

You may have heard of visitors receiving a chilly reception at Episcopal churches, but that's definitely NOT the case at Trinity!  Our founding families wanted Trinity to be a church for everyone, where everyone was welcome, and we've never forgotten it.

We're diverse and inclusive, and we welcome everyone, regardless of who you are or where you are on your personal journey -- whether it's at the very beginning, or a bit farther on, or perhaps taking a step or two back and reconsidering.  We offer companionship and community along the Way.  In fact, our official motto is: Offering Companionship Along The Way.

On this page you'll find links to other parts of our website where there's information we hope will answer some of the questions that might occur to you before the first time you visit us at Trinity Lime Rock, especially if it's for a worship service.

But first, a question:  Are you already a practicing Episcopalian?  Then, click here for our "expert mode" page.

  • Where is Trinity located?  How do I get there
  • What will I see when I get to Trinity?  Where can I park my car?  Which door do I go in?   (All good questions!!  We've prepared a short video to answer these questions for you).

Just so you know:

In the interests of energy conservation and the comfort of worshipers seated in the back of the church, during the coldest winter months (usually January and February) the church doors under the steeple are kept closed.  Please enter via the red doors in Walker Hall during that time.  Someone will direct you to the sanctuary.  Here's a link to a video that will help you orient yourself.

If you've got a question about Trinity that's not answered here, please send an e-mail to the Trinity Webmaster.

You can send it to webmaster@trinitylimerock.org and it will get to the right person to answer it.
