Now that Trinity has celebrated our 150th anniversary, we thought we ought to provide a photo album of the event.
Actually, it was a little difficult to fix a specific date for a birthday. Should it be the anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone? (1873)
Should it be when the building was Consecrated? (1874)
Should it be when the parish was made an official parish in the Diocese of Connecticut? (1875)
While we marked the anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone with a visit by the Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Rev. Jeffrey Mello, it was a fairly low-key event. We think that we were the first parish Bp Mello had visited since his Ordination and Consecration as Bishop, so perhaps that was the day’s major distinction.
The second event, the Consecration of the building, also had a Bishop in attendance, in this case our Bishop Suffragan, the Rt. Rev. Laura Abrams presiding, held on October 27, 2024.
Here are some of the events of the day:

Between the services, the Bishop met with the Vestry and also with those who would be confirmed at the 10:30 Holy Eucharist.
At the 10:30 AM Holy Eucharist, we celebrated the Confirmation of Emma Jean Sisk and Brennan Michael Sisk, and the Reception of Richard Irving Dawson, Theresa Anne Kenny, Jarrod Michael Sisk, and Michelle Renee Sisk.

Following the 10:30 AM service we had a wonderful luncheon — but sadly, so far we have no photos of the event! Did you happen to take any pictures during lunch? Send them to the Webmaster and they’ll appear here.
