Floral Memorials List

Generous parishioners and others frequently make a donation to Trinity to provide the funds for the Flower Committee to have flowers on the altar on Sundays. Usually these donations are in memory of a loved one or friend, or in honor of someone living — or just in thanksgiving. The customary donation amount is $50, but a donation in any amount is acceptable.

If you would like to donate for the flowers this year, the list attached will let you know what Sundays are still available — June is completely committed but there are remaining opportunities in future months.

If you would like to make a donation for flowers, please call the office or e-mail Pastor Heidi to reserve a Sunday.

Thank you for thinking of Trinity!

The Misa and Vecinos Seguros

The Misa and Vecinos Seguros

The mission and ministry with our Hispanic brothers and sisters have changed radically due to the pandemic shutdown. For example, I have been sending out prayers to the Misa group through WhatsApp. Last Saturday marked the occasion of the first virtual MISA videotaped in the church. I recently had my first pastoral visitation through Zoom.”

            “New occasions teach new duties.”

As with many other things in our lives now, I am finding new ways to make connections and sustain community.  Easter signifies that crises and death are often pathways to new  pportunities and new life.

Naturally, the face of Vecinos Seguros has also changed.

The primary mission of VS now is to provide food for those who have no food security and no safety net at all.  Funds have been raised to purchase gift cards at Freshtown market in Amenia.  Some Trinity Lime Rock parishioners have privately donated money to support this mission. They are joined by others outside of the parish.  This weekly outreach has helped put food on the table for 60 people,  including 35 children.

Spiritual nurture and material support are the objectives of the Hispanic mission right now. Without Trinity Lime Rock  and its leadership, these efforts would be seriously impaired.

On behalf of myself and those who are served,  Thank you!

If you would like to donate to the emergency food ministry of Vecinos Seguros, please write a check to Trinity Lime Rock Church with a memo for the VS emergency fund. Or you may give online through the church’s website.

In peace, John+

Photos from July 7

Quite a few photos from Sunday, July 7, at Trinity Lime Rock!

It was a hot day — too hot to leave dogs in cars (so they joined us in church). It was perfect for blowing HUGE bubbles in Summer Sports — except that a summer cold decimated the young people population for the day so we had only one enthusiastic participant. Thanks to Susanna and Tom Schindler! Susanna demonstrated the bubble process enthusiastically. Tom, the family scientist, developed the bubble formula that produces these incredible results.

Trinity Times for July and August 2019

During the summer months there’s not as much news as there is in the rest of the year, so we are publishing a single Trinity Times for July and August 2019.

Want to read the Trinity Times for July and August 2019? You can download it here, or you can pick up a paper copy the next time you are at Trinity!

Trinity Sunday 2019

Here are some photos — and the homily — from Trinity Sunday 2019. Trinity Lime Rock celebrates Trinity Sunday as our official birthday as a parish. This was a busy birthday!

Just a few notes on the photos. Thanks to Linda Lloyd for the photo of Jane Tuttle. Jane was celebrating her 90+ birthday by riding in a Maserati. She’s our resident parishioner in North Carolina. As well, thanks to Allen Berrien for the photo of Fred Shay of Stained Glass Resources. His firm that is repairing out altar window. Following that, The Berkshire Children’s Chorus is pictured in their Spring Concert at Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, in Great Barrington. (Can you spot the three Trinity young people?)

We’re trying something new this week: including the homily with the photos, all on one post! Without further ado, here is Pastor Heidi’s brief homily (brief to allow time for Fred to talk to us and still get everyone to the picnic!

Trinity Times for May 2019

Here’s your Trinity Times for May 2019! As you know, the Trinity Times is the long-running newsletter of Trinity Church in Lime Rock. (The earliest edition we have seen of it dates from the 1950, and was produced by mimeograph, so we’ve come a long way!)

You can download your copy here, or you can pick up a copy at Trinity. In any event, do read and enjoy it!
