Photos from December 1 and 2

Here are some photos from December 1 and 2 at Trinity Lime Rock.

That Saturday (December 1) we had our annual Christmas Bazaar, with refreshments, wreath sale, lots of neat things for holiday gifts, a chili dinner, and, of course, the community Christmas tree lighting, with carols and hot chocolate.

Photo credits for this album to Alexis and Eleanore.  Thanks so much to both of you for the great coverage of this annual event.

BUT THAT’S NOT ALL!!

Here are some more photos of the Bazaar and Tree Lighting, and also a few from Sunday, December 2, which was also the first Sunday in Advent.

Photo credits for this album to Heidi, Alexis, and, for the first time, Georgia!   Thanks to all three of you for your contributions!!

Community Thanksgiving

When Christ Church in Canaan closed, many of the community activities of that parish came along with a number of their former members to Trinity.  One such was participation in and  support of the Community Thanksgiving dinner.  That service to the community of North Canaan (and the wider area as well)  that the North Canaan Congregational Church traditionally served to the community at Pilgrim House became a Trinity activity as well.

Trinity folks — and lots of people from the community — showed up the day before Thanksgiving to peel, chop, and otherwise prepare, and then again on Thanksgiving to serve (and eat).  Here are a few photos, courtesy of Pastor Heidi and Pastor Savage Frieze of the North Canaan Congregational Church! (click the individual photos to see larger versions — you can page through the gallery, too)

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
