OUR PARISH Leadership: THE CLERGY OF TRINITY LIME ROCK
THE REV. HEIDI TRUAX, Rector, our long-time friend and neighbor, who had been with us after the departure of our former priest, became the second Vicar and Priest in Charge of Trinity Lime Rock on All Saints Day 2009. Subsequently, Trinity’s Vestry, following
parish-wide consultations with Bishop Ahrens and Diocesan Consultant Anne Watkins, unanimously voted to call Pastor Heidi to become the 14th Rector of Trinity Lime Rock. Pastor Heidi accepted the call. Here’s a little about Pastor Heidi and Trinity:
Companionship, Partnership, and a Rich Life in Christ
What every priest in the Episcopal Church looks for when interviewing at a parish, is a place where the parishioners are involved in the life of the Spirit, and equally involved as vital partners in the community. That is exactly what I found when I came to Trinity Church Lime Rock a number of years ago; a vibrant, loving community of faith where the members reach out to help and support many community projects.
What every parishioner looks for when seeking a new parish to join is a place where their own spiritual growth is encouraged, and where they can share their gifts, together with others, in the parish, the community and beyond. Those who come to visit Trinity Church find that it is a place that welcomes all people to be companions and partners in the Life of Christ. We welcome everyone to use the gifts they have been given to serve God, the community and the world.
I have worked in parishes large and small in Connecticut, and have been a missionary in Honduras as well, and I have found Trinity Church to be the most wonderful place sink deep roots, and to continue to grow, and to be a faithful Rector.
I have a passel of kids and grandkids who live in a number of countries around the world. I’m thankful to be able to visit them, and at the same time, I’m grateful to have been a resident of the Northwest Corner of Connecticut for over three decades. Ministry here is alive and well! And having recently bought a home in the area, I’m looking forward to continuing to live, work, and worship God at Trinity Church Lime Rock as a companion of those who are on the Way.
THE REV. FELIX RIVERA, Missioner to our Hispanic Congregation.
