TWO WEEKS IN A ROW!  WE NEEDED A POTOS SUPPLEMENT THIS WEEK TOO!!!

SO HERE IT IS! Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 at Trinity Lime Rock photos

MORE FROM JANE TUTTLE’S FUNERAL:

Some photos from the livestream:

ABOVE:  Al Dorf read the Prayers of the People.  It was great to see Al in person — he drove down from his home in New Hampshire to be with us for Jane’s funeral.

ABOVE: Jordan Rose Lee joined us from Crescendo with others.  Here’s Jordan offering a solo on “Panis Angelicus” by Cesar Franck during Communion.

Here’s one from the interment:

Following a wonderful catered lunch, mourning gave way to  life at Trinity as the Art Show resumed:

FROM THE ART SHOW:

ABOVE: A photo of the painting that received the people’s choice award!

SUNDAY WE OBSERVED THE FEAST OF ST. FRANCIS WITH BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS AT THE 8 am AND 10:30 am SERVICES.

ABOVE: Choir members with dogs (photo: Christine Gevert)

ABOVE: For those whose pets couldn’t attend, Pastor Heidi was glad to bless a photo on a cellphone.

But of course there were plenty of dogs (all dogs this year — no cats or other pets, unlike most years) available for blessing.  Note the collection of pet food, pet toys, etc. for the Little Guild of St. Francis next to the font.

Dogs were initially taking everything in….

…but very soon their attention belonged to the service in progress.

Dogs got to know each other — and, as usual, there were no notable incidents.

Pastor Heidi has developed the skill of blessing two dogs at the same time!

PHOTOS FROM Sunday september 24, 2023

WE DON’T OFTEN HAVE A SPECIAL PHOTO SUPPLEMENT FOR THE TRINITY UPDATE, BUT THIS WEEKEND WE NEEDED ONE — SO HERE IT IS! Sunday,  September 24 at Trinity Lime Rock photos

FROM THE CROP WALK:

Deacon Felix captured the rather casual start of the walk, for which we joined the Salisbury Congregational Church:

Rev. John Nelson of the Salisbury Congregational Church provided this group photo:

Pastor Heidi provided several pics:

The walk followed the Rail Trail — nice and level with no hills at all!

Rachel Lamb, who organized Trinity’s participating this year, provided more photos:

A family photo from Michelle Sisk:

FROM THE 8 AM SERVICE: (special thanks to Michelle Sisk)

In the last few years, the 8 AM service at Trinity has grown!  While there have always been a faithful few who attended at 8 AM, since COVID we’ve seen the number of “8 o’clockers” increase to the point that they no longer gather in the chancel for the service, but now sit in the nave.

July 21 Photos at Trinity Lime Rock

We’re calling these July 21 photos at Trinity Lime Rock although two of them were not taken at Trinity at all and were taken earlier that week!

Pastor Heidi was just back from a week as Chaplain to the wilderness camping group at the Diocesan Camp Washington, so we’re providing a bit of flavor of what that experience was like.

Sunday was also the Youth Sunday for July as well as being the hottest Sunday so far this summer. Hence the casual attire on most participants shown.

One moment that touched all of us. A lady who was not a parishioner, but who brought her much loved dog to us to be blessed when we had our annual Blessing of the Animals, sadly lost him this week. She brought us the blue and white pitcher of flowers from her garden to remember him — and we do!

Photos from July 14 at Trinity Lime Rock

Here are a few photos from Sunday, July 14, at Trinity Lime Rock.

We held Morning Prayer on Sunday since Pastor Heidi was at Diocesan Camp Washington serving as Chaplain to the wilderness campers. No priest? Normally we would call on supply clergy for the day.

However, we have a resource at Trinity that we were able to use instead. The Northwest Cluster of our Diocese held a training program for lay preachers this past year, and several from Trinity participated. Morning Prayer provides a wonderful for these trained homilists to “do their thing.” This week, our own Alexis Dorf was the Lay Officiant, and Danielle Gaherty was our Homilist.

It all worked perfectly!

What happened to Summer Sports? Well, fair question! We started with bocce, but the interest level just wasn’t there. So, the young people came into church for the last part of Morning Prayer, and then, during coffee hour, decided to try out their artistic skills in the courtyard!

Photos from June 29 and 30

Here are some photos from June 29 and 30 at Trinity Lime Rock! The usual photographer was missing in action, so these are graciously contributed by the Rev. Heidi Truax and by Allen Berrien.

Major events of the weekend included a baptism at the Latino Mass Saturday evening and an unscheduled power outage that required some improvisation on Sunday morning.

Also, here’s a late addition. You may know that Trinity has been developing a group of parishioners who have been training as lay preachers. These folks preach when we have Morning Prayer and at other times during the year. One such time was last Sunday, and Roy Bickley preached. Here is his sermon:

June 23, 2019

Here are a few photos and the sermon from Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Trinity Lime Rock.

A few explanatory words: it was June, and two of our steadfast young people have graduated from high school and are off to college. In their honor, the first photo shown is that of Eleanore and Helen nearly ten years ago, right here at Trinity. To them both: Thanks and Godspeed! The last photo is the phasing plan for the stained glass repair project currently underway at Trinity. Several people have asked about it.

We are also happy to bring you Pastor Heidi’s sermon from Sunday, June 23, 2019.

Trinity Sunday 2019

Here are some photos — and the homily — from Trinity Sunday 2019. Trinity Lime Rock celebrates Trinity Sunday as our official birthday as a parish. This was a busy birthday!

Just a few notes on the photos. Thanks to Linda Lloyd for the photo of Jane Tuttle. Jane was celebrating her 90+ birthday by riding in a Maserati. She’s our resident parishioner in North Carolina. As well, thanks to Allen Berrien for the photo of Fred Shay of Stained Glass Resources. His firm that is repairing out altar window. Following that, The Berkshire Children’s Chorus is pictured in their Spring Concert at Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, in Great Barrington. (Can you spot the three Trinity young people?)

We’re trying something new this week: including the homily with the photos, all on one post! Without further ado, here is Pastor Heidi’s brief homily (brief to allow time for Fred to talk to us and still get everyone to the picnic!
